To open the e-book you will be asked to open a .exe file (windows executable file).  Some virus scan programs may warn against doing this.  The file is safe.

It contains the text of the book in pdf format (acrobat reader) 'packaged' in a special program that links you to the secure payment process.  Once you have bought the book you will be given a code to enter that will enable you to access the full book.

I suggest you click 'save' rather than 'open' as this will make it easier to find the book again without having to come back to this site - though you need to be connected to the internet to read the book (part of the verification process).  You can save it in 'my documents' and then double click on it to open it and complete the payment process.

The code will only work on one computer, so if you want to recommend the book to a friend - please do! - they will be able to open the sample pages and then be prompted to purchase their own access code.

I have enabled the print facility since you may find it more convenient to read the book away from the screen.  The page size should work equally in UK and US paper sizes.  If you make further copies the copyright terms ask that you pay a reduced rate for each of those copies by using the PayPal 'add to basket' link.  This is to enable you to use the book for study purposes or pass a copy on to a friend without internet access.

PayPal allows you to pay using your PayPal account, if you have one, or by credit/debit cards via the PayPal secure site.
